Cockroach Infestation Friern Barnet 24/7
Cockroaches are a major health hazard to both commercial and domestic owners. They can carry a number of different diseases such as salmonella and dysentery. To eliminate the infestation there a couple of solutions our trained Friern Barnet pest controllers can carry out. IGR bait is an insect growth regulator that stops the cockroach replacing its skin. IGR bait is applied in small doses around the infestation and away from human contact; this is a highly effective method of removing the infestation. Another solution is Permethrin dust, which is used in cases of the infestation in roofs or under floors. Both of these products are two of the safest insecticides to humans, dogs and cats. At Able Pest Friern Barnet we will provide advice and measures to prevent any further infestation. Our emergency operations centre is available 24/7 for any queries you may have.

Moths
Moths feed on clothes and carpets, and can do extensive damage if unnoticed. A water-based insecticide is used on all soft furnishings and permanent fixtures, especially those in cold, dark places, as moths prefer these environment. They can also infest food stores, such as cereal, grain and flour.
The adults do not feed, and thus have a short lifespan of approximately 21 days, but it is the larvae that feed, preferring organic fibres such as wool, especially if dirty or soiled. It has long been suggested that Cedar wood can repel moths with its natural scent; however, this is a temporary measure, as the wood would lose its scent over time.
Moth balls have been used for years to control moths, but there are concerns for human health over prolonged exposure to the fumes.
